When Roe v. Wade fell, abortion bans swept through Appalachia, making already sparse access to care almost impossible to get.

Three years later, the Supreme Court’s decision in US v. Skrmetti puts access to gender-affirming care, especially for trans youth, at risk.

But at the Women's Health Center of Maryland, we’re holding the line. We provide the kind of nonjudgmental and compassionate reproductive and sexual health care, including abortion and gender-affirming hormone therapy, that every Appalachian deserves.
