We begin with the least invasive test to determine if you are pregnant by obtaining a urine sample and running an in-clinic urine pregnancy test.
If positive, we may perform a bedside ultrasound to estimate how far along you are into the pregnancy.
Depending on the results of the ultrasound, the provider may suggest ordering a blood test to measure the amount of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) in your blood in order help determine the exact age of the fetus.
